Major New Additions Coming to Universal Orlando

If speculations and references are to be believed then we have a much bigger Universal Orlando in near future. There are some major new additions and attractions coming to Universal Orlando Resort. First it’s the most speculated idea of a fourth theme park and now a new Pokémon park. With reference to anonymous Universal sources and a Theme Park University blogger, WFTV revealed that the new Pokémon Park is indeed coming to the Resort. Thanks to the never-ending arms race between Universal and Disney World parks. Coz it’s the constant urge for getting bigger and better that triggers the creation of newer and more immersive family fun experiences. The Pokémon Park is coming to Universal Orlando soon. Pokémon is seen as a perfect opportunity for Universal to strengthen its ability to attract even bigger crowd now. Pokémon Franchise (that includes the video game, TV show and its different media versions) has been ruling the hearts of millions for generations. The popular video game franchise is said to be located at the Universal’s Kid-Zone section. It will share the same neighborhood with Woody Woodpecker and Barney. Also according to sources, the Kid-Zone area is originally slated to be home to a Mario Kart and a Donkey Kong roller coaster. But now the respective attractions will have the fourth Universal Orlando Park as their new home. Along with a fourth theme park and Pokémon there will be a Nintendo themed park as well. Nintendo is going to be one of the many themed lands to be built at the new 400 acre Universal property (the so-called fourth theme park). Nintendo holds the trademark for Pokémon. And the inclusion of a new Pokémon theme park in an existing Universal Studios theme park is cited as the Resort’s plan to distribute Nintendo out to all the Universal properties, similar to the Harry Potter world. At present Universal is involved in a lawsuit with the former owner of the property. Universal had acquired the hundreds of acres property in 2015. However, the former owner argues that he still holds rights to enforce private deed restrictions, and that includes a ban of theme parks. The lawsuit is expected to take a year to resolve. For Universal fans it’s mostly a waiting game for now. Of course we have the Fast and Furious – Supercharged ride is opening this spring itself. Followed by the Aventura Hotel, opening in August this year. Moreover, there is a new Harry Potter roller coaster ride opening in 2019 at Islands of Adventure. Pokémon is expected to open by 2020. The Super Nintendo World is set to open first in Japan and Hollywood, followed by Orlando in 2023. If you are a Florida resident and planning to visit Universal Parks on or before June 28, 2018, you can save some more on your universal studios tickets. The Resort is offering the locals a sweet ticket deal, which is available on sale until April 30, 2018. Residents can buy a pack of four tickets for $165 (for single park passes) or choose to have a $205 (for a two park passes). And the more exciting part is you don’t have to use it on consecutive days. Article Source:DisneyVisitorBlog.com
